 PRESS RELEASE OPERATION HADIN KAI FOILS MASS ABDUCTION ATTEMPT AT FGGC MONGUNO Troops of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), in collaboration with personnel of the Nigeria Police Mobile Force (MOPOL), successfully foiled an attempted mass abduction by ISWAP terrorists at the Federal Government Girls College (FGGC), Monguno, at about 0130 hours (1:30 a.m.) on 19 July 2026. The FGGC facility is currently being utilized by the Borno State Government as temporary hostel accommodation for students of the Federal Polytechnic, Monguno. The terrorists reportedly gained access to the facility with the assistance of suspected collaborators in an attempt to abduct students. Alert security personnel immediately engaged the terrorists with coordinated and overwhelming firepower, effectively stalling their advance with Sector 3 Quick Reaction Force (QRF) immediately reinforcing the school. George Clooney mourns sister Ada Zeidler’s passing

George Clooney’s sister, Adelia “Ada” Zeidler, passed away from cancer on Friday at the age of 65.

According to her obituary, Zeidler died peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones. Clooney paid tribute to his sister, saying, “My sister, Ada, was my hero. She faced down cancer with courage and humor. I’ve never met anyone so brave. Amal and I will miss her terribly.”

Zeidler spent many years as an elementary art teacher at Augusta Independent School in Kentucky. She was also active in her community, leading a local book club, participating in the Augusta Art Guild, and serving as grand marshal of Augusta’s Annual White Christmas Parade.

She is survived by her parents, Nick and Nina Clooney, brother George Clooney, her husband Kenny, children Nick Zeidler and Allison Zeidler Herolaga, and other family members.
