 NDC STATEMENT ON COURT RULING Our attention has been drawn to a ruling by the Federal High Court sitting in Lokoja this morning, wherein His Lordship, Honourable Justice Isah Dashen, gave a ruling on an application filed by an unregistered association known as Peace Movement Party. The public knows that by December 2025, the Nigeria Democratic Congress  as an association complained of INEC’s refusal to register us as a political party, whereupon we proceeded to the Federal High Court. The Federal High Court upheld our constitutional right to freedom of association under the Constitution and compelled INEC to register us, which INEC did. Since then, we have started political activities, embarked on the registration of members, held congresses from ward to national levels, held conventions, and concluded primaries to all offices following INEC’s timetable.  Institution of Civil ‎Engineers sensitise Anambra residents on safety measures 

‎

‎Worried by the incessant building collapses, members of the Nigerian Institution of Civil Engineers, Awka chapter, have intensified an awareness campaign, during which they sensitised residents in Anambra on the dangers associated with quackery, substandard building materials, and poor workmanship.

‎

‎The sensitisation was carried out on Saturday through an advocacy exercise tagged, ‘Walk against building and infrastructure collapse’ in Awka, where the engineers marched through the streets, carrying placards with various inscriptions while highlighting strict adherence to professional ethics.

‎

‎With the inscriptions such as “Safe building is a human right”, “Engineering ethics must come before profit”, “Infrastructure failure is a national emergency”, “Stop quackery in construction”, among others, the engineers aimed at enlightening residents to always ensure they patronise professional civil engineers for their building.

‎

‎Addressing journalists after the walk, the Chairman of the institute, Chidi Obiudu, said sensitising the general public would promote public consciousness on safe construction practices and professional ethics to prevent incessant building and infrastructure collapse in the state.


‎Obiudu, a Rotarian, said the group seeks to engage key stakeholders, professionals, and the general public in advocating for improved

‎construction standards and the prevention of avoidable building and infrastructure failures in Anambra State and across Nigeria.

‎

‎Also speaking, the State Assembly Chairman Committee on Works and Infrastructure, Emma Nwafor, in his own submission, stressed that building of any structure should follow laid down rules, regulations, and specifications, and should be handled by professionals and qualified engineers.

‎

‎Nwafor lamented that quackery has caused avoidable deaths and waste of huge material resources.

‎

‎The group members who walked through some major roads in Awka carried placards with various inscriptions, notably, “Safe building is a human right”, “Engineering ethics must come before profit”, “Infrastructure failure is a national emergency”, “Stop quackery in construction”, among others.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
