 PRESS RELEASE FCT POLICE RESCUE SUSPECT FROM JUNGLE JUSTICE OVER ATTEMPTED ABDUCTION OF 5 YEAR OLD CHILD. …CP FCT Condemns such acts as it delays the course of justice The FCT Police Command, on the 4th of October 2026 at approximately 02:46PM, received a distress call reporting that an unidentified adult male was being assaulted by an angry mob over an alleged attempt to abduct a child. Following receipt of the report, police operatives from Kuje Division were immediately dispatched to the scene, where one Bashir Usman was rescued from an irate mob that was about to lynch him. Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspect was being assaulted by the mob over allegations that he attempted to abduct a five year old child in front of her residence in Angwan Lado, Kuje Area Council of the FCT.  TOP SOUTH AFRICAN ACTOR SEPUTLA SEBOGODI DIES


Veteran South African actor, director and theatre-maker Seputla Sebogodi has died following complications related to diabetes. His family confirmed that he passed away on the evening of 15 July 2026.


In a statement, the family described Sebogodi, who was 62, as a gifted creative whose influence extended far beyond the stage and screen.


"His legacy will live on through his remarkable body of work and the many lives he touched," the statement read.


Sebogodi built a career that stretched across acting, directing, writing, singing and facilitating, becoming one of the country's most respected performers. While many audiences knew him through television roles, he remained deeply committed to theatre throughout his life, continually creating work that engaged with South Africa's social and political realities.


Just a week before his passing, Sebogodi presented _Black Moon_ at the National Arts Festival in Makhanda. The production explored themes of pain, pride, religion and South Africa's complex history, reflecting the kind of thoughtful, challenging theatre that defined much of his career.


His television and stage credits include Bophelo Ke Semphekgo, Generations, Scandal, Big Dada, Waiting for Godot, The Rivonia Trial, Once a Pirate and Mooi Street Moves. Across these productions, Sebogodi established himself as a versatile performer capable of moving between classical theatre, contemporary drama and popular television with equal conviction.


News of his death has prompted an outpouring of tributes from colleagues, audiences and members of the arts community, many remembering him not only for his performances but also for his generosity as a mentor and collaborator.


Sebogodi's passing marks the loss of a significant figure in South African theatre and television. His work, both on stage and on screen, leaves behind a lasting contribution to the country's cultural landscape.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
