 Texas woman charged with medical child abuse for falsifying toddler’s health and pushing unnecessary feeding tube surgeries A Texas woman has been charged with medical child abuse after allegedly falsifying her toddler’s medical history to pressure doctors into performing unnecessary procedures, including feeding tube surgeries, in what authorities are calling a “sickening” case. Kaitlyn Rose Laura, 31, faces charges of injury to a child and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Officials said she deliberately misled medical staff about her 3-year-old son’s health to obtain a gastrostomy tube and later a gastrojejunostomy tube, despite no documented medical need. Investigators allege that hospital staff observed the boy eating normally while Laura claimed he refused all food. Covert surveillance confirmed the child was able to eat meals without difficulty, prompting authorities to stop tube feedings. CLERICS                    The purpose for these classes is to counter the message of violence promoted by Boko Haram militants.A school named al-llmu Nurul Hayat Islamiya,is teaching a new curricumlum based on peace and tolerance in an effort to dilute the influence of the militants.The initiative,recognized state wide is under the guidiance of Jama'atu Nasril Islam,the umbrella organization for Muslim groups in Nigeria.The Jama'atu Nasril Islam campaign has set up a battle for the hearts and minds of the Local Youth,with Boko Haram on one end and community leaders on the other hundreds of Islamic schools across Maiduguru are also teaching young Muslim children and youths,the dynamics of peace.Mohammed Abdullahi,Director of Religious Affairs for Borno state said ''Boko Haram started preaching in islamic schools and Mosque across Maiduguri and we realized that they were using Islamic schools to promote their violent ideology to youths''.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
