The driver, her friend, was arrested and possibly facing felony charges.  28-year-old Alyssa Vanorsdel and her 25-year-old friend were driving along Highway U near Rogerville, Missouri, when a carefree moment cost a young woman her life.  It was 4 a.m. on the morning of August 30th, and Alyssa was driving her SUV westbound on the Christian county highway. The  25-year-old woman had unbuckled her safety belt and  was hanging her head and upper body from the passenger window. For reasons unknown at this time, Alyssa reportedly veered slightly to the right and clipped a roadside mailbox. The mailbox made full contact with the head of the 25-year-old woman. As a result, the young woman suffered a catastrophic injury to her head.  The injury would ultimately prove to be fatal, and the woman was pronounced decea...

EVA MENDES SAYS HER TATTOO, SEEMINGLY A TRIBUTE TO RYAN GOSLING, IS 'THE ONLY ONE I'VE EVER WANTED'. (PHOTO).

Image
Eva Mendes says her tattoo, seemingly a tribute to Ryan Gosling, is 'the only one I've ever wanted' Eva Mendes recently shared a glimpse of her only tattoo, proudly displaying the ink on her wrist that reads “de Gosling.” In a series of Instagram photos posted on August 28, the actress explained that the tattoo is the sole piece of body art she has ever wanted.  Her comment came after a follower pointed out the design, prompting Mendes to affirm its personal significance. The tattoo, which she first debuted in 2022, has fueled speculation about her marital status with Ryan Gosling, her partner of 15 years. In Latino tradition, the word “de” connects a woman’s name to her husband’s, suggesting a “Mrs. Gosling” title.  Mendes herself has occasionally referred to Gosling as her husband, including during a television appearance in Australia in late 2022. While reports of a secret wedding surfaced years earlier, the couple has remained private, offering only subtle hints abou...

Drunk pilot crashes stolen plane near nuclear site A 24-year-old pilot allegedly stole a plane while intoxicated and flew towards a nuclear power plant in Hungary, triggering a major emergency response before the aircraft crashed in a sunflower field. The worrying flight path of the Cessna 172 entered the no-fly zone around Hungary’s largest nuclear power plant and triggered an alert on military radar. Hungarian air force officials quickly mobilised a task force, with several fighter jets sent to intercept the aircraft. The mid-air operation lasted only a few minutes before the pilot unexpectedly crash-landed in a sunflower field around four miles from the plant. Aerial footage showed a flattened trail through the sunflowers where the aircraft had bulldozed its way across the field. The pilot was uninjured, but the Cessna 172 was left badly damaged after the crash. Police allege that the aircraft had been stolen from Kalocsa Airport. Following the emergency landing, the suspect al...

MYSTERIOUS ISLAND APPEARS AND THEN VANISHES IN CANADIAN RESERVOIR. (PHOTO).

Mysterious island appears and then vanishes in Canadian reservoir A huge floating island covered in trees mysteriously appeared in a Canadian reservoir before vanishing just weeks later, leaving officials unsure where the bizarre landmass has gone. The strange sighting occurred at British Columbia’s Williston Reservoir, where boaters spotted what appeared to be a fully formed island drifting through the water. The floating mass was enormous, measuring roughly the equivalent of two NFL football fields. Satellite imagery taken on July 21 confirmed that the unusual landmass was real and showed it floating about 60 miles west of the W.A.C. Bennett Dam. But by August 5, the island had disappeared from satellite images. The utility responsible for managing the reservoir has yet to determine exactly what happened to it. A spokesperson told CBC that the island may not have sunk at all, suggesting it could have drifted back towards the shoreline or moved into a more sheltered section of th...

Trump weighs limited strikes on Iran to protect ships and aircraft in Strait of Hormuz  President Donald Trump and senior administration officials are weighing limited U.S. strikes against Iranian military positions in the Strait of Hormuz to prevent Tehran from rebuilding radar, air defense and anti-ship missile systems that could threaten vessels, according to U.S. officials. The plan was developed by U.S. Central Command over the past week and has received support from Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, but Trump had not approved the strikes before a new round of fighting with Iran over the weekend. The proposal is intended to reduce the threat to oil tankers, U.S. Navy ships and military aircraft operating in the strategically important waterway. The U.S. military has spent the past two months weakening Iranian military capabilities in the Strait of Hormuz, clearing mines and helping guide ships through the passage. The effort has reduced Iran’s ability to target tankers and...

Adams argued that lowering the flag too often could dilute its meaning, and he emphasized that local leaders should have the authority to decide for their own communities. He insisted his stance was not political or disrespectful to Parton, but his comments quickly drew sharp criticism.  Many peo...
