 President Trump awarded inaugural FIFA Peace Prize at World Cup draw in Washington  Gianni Infantino, the FIFA President presented the honour onstage at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts on Friday, saying Trump had been selected “in recognition of his exceptional and extraordinary actions to promote peace and unity around the world”. “This is your prize, this is your peace prize,” Infantino said, after Trump took the stage to accept the trophy, a medal and certificate. “There is also a beautiful medal for you that you can wear everywhere you want to go.”   FIFA says the prize is for “individuals who help unite people in peace through unwavering commitment and special actions”.  Accepting the award, Trump called it “one of the great honours of my life”, before claiming to have “saved millions and millions of lives – the Congo is an example, over 10 million people killed and it was heading for another 10 million very quickly.  Shebeshxt Faces Attempted Murder Charges in Polokwane Court


Popular Lekompo artist Shebeshxt, whose real name is Lehlogonolo Katlego Chauke, appeared before the Polokwane Magistrates Court on Thursday facing two counts of attempted murder.


The 30-year-old musician was arrested on Wednesday, 11 November 2025, in Bendor, Polokwane, in connection with a shooting incident that took place on 19 October 2025 along Witklip Street in Ladanna.


According to police reports, Shebeshxt allegedly fired several shots at another vehicle during a road rage incident, injuring a 34-year-old man who was rushed to a local hospital with serious injuries. His vehicles have since been seized for forensic investigation.


This is not the artist’s first encounter with the law. He has previously faced charges including assault, malicious damage to property, and discharging a firearm in public.


The case has drawn significant public attention, with fans and critics flooding social media to express mixed reactions to the musician’s latest legal troubles.
