 Alleged $1.5m Fraud:   Witness Tells Court Funds Came into Defendant’s Account in Multiple Tranches The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Monday, June 29, 2026, presented its third prosecution witness (PW3), Levi Amanda Opice, a Compliance Officer with Guaranty Trust Bank (GTBank), in the ongoing trial of Ifoma Immanuel before Justice Mojisola Dada of the Lagos State Special Offences Court, Ikeja, over an alleged $1.5 million fraud. Immanuel is standing trial alongside his company, Intermediate Investment Holdings Limited, on a two-count charge bordering on obtaining money by false pretence and forgery involving the sum of $1.5 million.  Shebeshxt Faces Attempted Murder Charges in Polokwane Court


Popular Lekompo artist Shebeshxt, whose real name is Lehlogonolo Katlego Chauke, appeared before the Polokwane Magistrates Court on Thursday facing two counts of attempted murder.


The 30-year-old musician was arrested on Wednesday, 11 November 2025, in Bendor, Polokwane, in connection with a shooting incident that took place on 19 October 2025 along Witklip Street in Ladanna.


According to police reports, Shebeshxt allegedly fired several shots at another vehicle during a road rage incident, injuring a 34-year-old man who was rushed to a local hospital with serious injuries. His vehicles have since been seized for forensic investigation.


This is not the artist’s first encounter with the law. He has previously faced charges including assault, malicious damage to property, and discharging a firearm in public.


The case has drawn significant public attention, with fans and critics flooding social media to express mixed reactions to the musician’s latest legal troubles.
