Eva Mendes recently shared a glimpse of her only tattoo, proudly displaying the ink on her wrist that reads “de Gosling.” In a series of Instagram photos posted on August 28, the actress explained that the tattoo is the sole piece of body art she has ever wanted.

 Her comment came after a follower pointed out the design, prompting Mendes to affirm its personal significance.

The tattoo, which she first debuted in 2022, has fueled speculation about her marital status with Ryan Gosling, her partner of 15 years. In Latino tradition, the word “de” connects a woman’s name to her husband’s, suggesting a “Mrs. Gosling” title. 

Mendes herself has occasionally referred to Gosling as her husband, including during a television appearance in Australia in late 2022. While reports of a secret wedding surfaced years earlier, the couple has remained private, offering only subtle hints about their long‑lasting romance.

Beyond the tattoo, Mendes has shared small glimpses of their family life. She and Gosling, who are parents to daughters Esmeralda and Amanda, recently welcomed a new dog named Charlie. Mendes introduced the pup on social media, expressing her joy at expanding their household. 

The understated yet meaningful tattoo, combined with her rare public comments, reflects the actress’s preference for keeping her relationship private while still celebrating the love and family she has built with Gosling.
