 BAMIDELE OLUMILUA UNIVERSITY OF EDUCATION, SCIENCE AND TECHNLOGY, IKERE-EKITI RE-A VIRAL VIDEO OF BULLYING OF A FEMALE STUDENT IN BOUESTI It has come to our attention that a disturbing incident involving some  students of the Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology, Ikere-Ekiti (BOUESTI) has surfaced on social media platforms. A video showing one Miss Opemiposi Precious BOLAJI, an 18 year old 100L Mass Communication student beating her colleague identified as Miss Gloria AJAYI, a 100L Mass Communication student, in a private hostel outside the University campus has gone viral. In accordance with our institution's policies and extant regulations, the students who were captured in the viral video, appeared  before the Students' Disciplinary Committee at its emergency meeting held on Monday, May 6, 2024 for interrogations and appropriate recommendations, the report of which has been submitted to the University authorities. Chief Of Defence Staff Appears Before Investigative Panel

Chief of Defence Staff, General Lucky Irabor is currently before the Special Independent Investigative Panel on Human Rights Violations in the counter-Insurgency Operations in the North-East.

General Irabor’s Appearance before the panel came on the heels of reports by Reuters news agency accusing the Nigerian military of carrying out thousands of forced abortions and massacring children in the North-Eastern part of the country.

Nigerian Army had earlier denied running any operation called “Operation no living thing” in any part of the country.

A former Garrison Commander, 7 Division, Maiduguri, Brigadier-General Haruna Abubakar Garba, had, in his own appearance before the Panel, flatly denied the allegations, insisting that “Operation No Living Thing” only took place in Sierra Leone during the West African country’s civil war.

Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her.
