McDonald’s launches World Cup meal and collectible cups ahead of 2026 FIFA tournament kickoff McDonald’s is launching limited-time World Cup meals and collectibles ahead of the FIFA tournament kickoff on June 11, as excitement builds for the expanded 48-team competition co-hosted by the United States, Mexico and Canada. The fast-food chain, returning as an official tournament sponsor, will roll out its World Cup-themed menu nationwide starting June 4. Customers can choose between a Big Mac or a 10-piece Chicken McNuggets meal, both served with a special gold-packaged Big Mac Sauce. As part of the promotion, McDonald’s is also releasing collectible cups featuring nine global soccer stars and cultural icons. The lineup includes Christian Pulisic, David Beckham, Ronaldinho, Thierry Henry, Son Heung-Min, Lamine Yamal, Alphonso Davies, Santiago Gimenez, and the brand’s mascot Grimace. In Benue State, a moving tale of resilience and devotion is warming hearts across the region. It’s the story of Mr. Terseer Jeremiah a man whose path to the altar became a powerful reminder that true love doesn’t collapse under pressure.


Just days before his traditional wedding, Terseer was travelling to Naka in Gwer-West to complete essential rites and bring home his bride-to-be. But fate intervened. A sudden, serious accident left him injured and confined to a wheelchair, the kind of moment that could shatter the strongest plans.


But not this one.


Rather than postpone the ceremony, Terseer chose courage. He showed up on his wedding day seated in a wheelchair, determined to honour his commitment and celebrate the woman he loves. His strength stirred emotions among guests, many of whom described the moment as a testament to divine grace and unwavering faith.


For Terseer and his bride, the wedding became more than a celebration, it became a victory. A reminder that love endures, even when life delivers its hardest blows.


As the couple begins their new journey, prayers continue to pour in for Terseer’s full recovery, along with blessings for a joyful and enduring marriage.
