 TROOPS OF OPERATION WHIRL STROKE ARREST HIGH PROFILE CRIMINAL IN BENUE COMMUNITY Troops of Operation WHIRL STROKE arrested a high-profile suspected criminal during an intelligence-driven operation in Agasha Village of Guma Local Government Area, Benue State, following a report of an attack on a local resident. The operation was launched on 13 March 2026 after security agencies received credible information regarding an attack on Mr Shaapera Seeta Michael in Agasha Village. Acting swiftly on the report, troops of the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Intervention Battalion XI deployed under Operation WHIRL STROKE mobilised immediately to the affected area to track down the suspect responsible for the assault. Upon arrival, the troops cordoned the area to prevent the suspect from escaping while conducting a targeted search operation aimed at identifying and apprehending the alleged attacker.  Joan Templeman, wife of Virgin Records founder Richard Branson, dies at 80

Joan Templeman, the wife of billionaire Virgin Records founder Richard Branson, has passed away at the age of 80.

Branson, 75, shared the news on Instagram Tuesday, describing Templeman as his "wife and partner for 50 years." No cause of death was disclosed. The couple met in early 1976 at a live-in recording studio built for Virgin and married in 1989. They had two children together, Holly and Sam.

In a tribute, Sam Branson called his mother the "kindest, most loving, warm, and abundantly generous woman to walk this Earth," adding he was grateful to have had the privilege of calling her his mother. Richard Branson described Templeman as the "most wonderful mum and grandmum our kids and grandkids could have ever wished for," and added, "She was my best friend, my rock, my guiding light, my world. Love you forever, Joan x."
