Trump issues pardon to former Republican congressman Stephen Buyer after insider trading conviction    President Donald Trump has issued a full pardon to former Republican congressman Stephen Buyer, who served nearly two years in prison after being convicted of insider trading tied to post-congressional consulting work. Buyer was sentenced in 2023 to 22 months in prison for illegal stock trades made while working as a consultant and lobbyist. He was ordered to forfeit more than $350,000 in ill-gotten gains and pay a $10,000 fine. He was released from custody in 2025 after his conviction was upheld, with the Supreme Court declining to take up his appeal earlier this year.  Joan Templeman, wife of Virgin Records founder Richard Branson, dies at 80

Joan Templeman, the wife of billionaire Virgin Records founder Richard Branson, has passed away at the age of 80.

Branson, 75, shared the news on Instagram Tuesday, describing Templeman as his "wife and partner for 50 years." No cause of death was disclosed. The couple met in early 1976 at a live-in recording studio built for Virgin and married in 1989. They had two children together, Holly and Sam.

In a tribute, Sam Branson called his mother the "kindest, most loving, warm, and abundantly generous woman to walk this Earth," adding he was grateful to have had the privilege of calling her his mother. Richard Branson described Templeman as the "most wonderful mum and grandmum our kids and grandkids could have ever wished for," and added, "She was my best friend, my rock, my guiding light, my world. Love you forever, Joan x."
