 NDC STATEMENT ON COURT RULING Our attention has been drawn to a ruling by the Federal High Court sitting in Lokoja this morning, wherein His Lordship, Honourable Justice Isah Dashen, gave a ruling on an application filed by an unregistered association known as Peace Movement Party. The public knows that by December 2025, the Nigeria Democratic Congress  as an association complained of INEC’s refusal to register us as a political party, whereupon we proceeded to the Federal High Court. The Federal High Court upheld our constitutional right to freedom of association under the Constitution and compelled INEC to register us, which INEC did. Since then, we have started political activities, embarked on the registration of members, held congresses from ward to national levels, held conventions, and concluded primaries to all offices following INEC’s timetable.  FRESH VIOLENCE IN BENUE, ARMED ATTACKERS KILL 3 FARMERS IN GWER WEST



Tension has flared again in Benue State after armed attackers struck farmlands in Gwer West Local Government Area, killing three farmers behind Government Comprehensive Secondary School, Naka.


The victims Mr. Ioryer Kwaghkaha OLS, Ayila Atsar, and another yet-to-be-identified individual were reportedly shot and later brutally attacked on their farms in Gilim Ashi village, a settlement along the Naka–Agagbe road.


Their bodies have been evacuated and deposited at the Naka morgue.


This incident comes barely 24 hours after a traveler was ambushed and killed on the Naka–Makurdi road near Kula village. Troops of the Nigerian Army repelled that attack, but the assailants returned today to target farmers in the area.


May their souls rest in peace.
