Former Manchester United star Paul Scholes handed six-month driving ban Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes has been handed a six month driving ban after he racked up two convictions in the space of two days. The 51-year-old was caught speeding in a Range Rover in March while on a late-night drive through Cleckheaton in West Yorkshire. West Yorkshire Police brought a prosecution over the incident, as Scholes’ car had been clocked at 37mph on a 30mph stretch of residential road. The ex-England star was also taken to task by Greater Manchester Police after a Mercedes registered in his name was caught driving at 49mph in a 30mph zone in November last year. Scholes was then prosecuted for failing to respond to two police letters asking for confirmation that he had been the speeding driver. A HIGH SCHOOL IN MAINE HAS SUSPENDED 19 STUDENTS AFTER THEY BANDED TOGETHER TO CONFRONT A SUSPECTED BULLY.(PHOTO).

A high school in Maine has suspended 19 students after they banded together to confront a suspected bully.

The 19 students at Oxford Hills High School have all been suspended after administration learned they banded together and confronted a potential bully.

The entire situation is in regard to a report that a student was bullying a non-verbal autistic boy at the bus stop.

The school principal, Paul Bickford, contends they had investigated the initial bullying allegations and stated, "There was no intended violence, bullying, or actual physical harm involving the bus line interaction."  Bickford continued, "This action (by the 19 students) created an intimidating and threatening environment."

However, some parents of children at the school believe the children did the right thing. One parent whose son attends the school said that the confronted student was, in fact, "verbally bullying the autistic child".  She stated "the group was only standing up for another student who couldn't stand up for himself". She said the children "did it right and kept their hands off, only using their words". She went on to share, "They (the 19 students) confronted a bully who has been known to injure people who cannot defend themselves".

Although principal Bickford characterized the incident as "nothing but a rumor" it appears most in the community support the group of students.
