APC Godogodo Stakeholder Denies Rejection Of Senator Katung, Ali Kalat Endorsements

A stakeholder of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Godogodo Zone, Jema’a Local Government Area, Kaduna State, has dismissed reports suggesting that the zone’s recent party meeting rejected the endorsements of Senator Sunday Marshall Katung and Hon. Ali Kalat.

Mr. Bature Joel Monday of Gidan Waya Ward stated that the claim was inaccurate and misleading, stressing that the matter was never discussed or decided upon during the meeting held on Sunday, April 5, 2026.

He warned that such misinformation could create unnecessary divisions within the party.

According to Mr. Monday, the meeting was primarily convened to congratulate newly elected ward and local government party leaders from the recently concluded congresses.

It also encouraged unsuccessful aspirants to remain patient and supportive, while urging elected leaders to promote inclusivity.

The meeting recognized Hon. Daniel Amos as the only elected political office holder from the zone, passed a vote of confidence in him, and committed to supporting him throughout his tenure, including a possible second term.

Additionally, participants expressed their support for the executive arm of government, endorsing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani for a second term in 2027.

Mr. Monday, who was officially tasked with documenting the meeting’s resolutions, urged media outlets to correct the earlier report to reflect the accurate proceedings, emphasizing that doing so would help preserve unity within the party.
