  President Bola Tinubu has identified the creative economy as a pivotal element of his administration’s economic diversification agenda, reaffirming his commitment to positioning Nigeria’s creative sector as a driving force for global influence. The President stated this at the launch of the 2024 Abuja International Carnival at Eagle Square, Abuja. President Tinubu, represented by Vice-President Kashim Shettima, said the carnival reaffirms the essence of who Nigerians are—”a people of culture, a people of art, a people of colour, and a people of shared values”.  THE KANO HISBAD BOARD SAID ON FRIDAY THAT IT ARRESTED 15 YOUNG WOMEN FOR ALLEGED PROSTITION DURING EID EL-KABIR FESTIVITIES IN THE SABON GARI AREA OF KANO STATE.MEMBERS OF THE HISBAH CORPS ALSO ARRESTED DEVIANT YOUTHS DURING THE FESTIVITIES.APART FROM THOSE ARRESTED FOR PROSTITUTION MORE THAN 40 MALE AND FEMALE WERE ALSO PICKED UP DURING THE FESTIVE PERIOD FOR MIS CONDUCT AT PLACES OF LEISURE ACROSS THE STATE.THE PARENTS OF SOME OF THOSE ARRESTED WERE INVITED TO THE BOARD FOR DISCUSSIONS AND ADVICE,THEN MOST OF THE YOUTH WERE LATER RELEASED.FOR THOSE WHO HAD MISCHIEVOUS HAIR CUTS,THE BOARD MADE SURE THAT THEY HAD CLEAN HAIR CUTS BEFORE THEY WERE RELEASED.
