 TROOPS ARREST SUSPECTED KIDNAPPER, RECOVER AK-47 RIFLE ALONG BENIN–SAPELE ROAD Troops of 4 Brigade Nigerian Army, Operation WABAIZIGAN, have arrested a suspected kidnapper and recovered an AK-47 rifle and ammunition during a targeted operation along the Benin–Sapele Road in Ikpoba-Okha LGA of Edo State. The suspect, identified as Olamide Oyeniyi, was arrested on 12 September 2026 at Obaretin Community by troops conducting operations to disrupt criminal activities and safeguard major transportation routes within the area. Items recovered from the suspect include one AK-47 rifle, one magazine and eight rounds of 7.62mm Special ammunition. Other items recovered are one Tecno mobile phone, two bags, one torchlight, one music box and assorted charms. MOHAMMED ABACHA,DISCHARGED BY F.H.C,FOR N100.38 BILLION SCAM.

            According to a national news paper,a Federal capital territory High court today wednesday,discharged Mohammed Abacha,son of late former military Head of state,General Sani Abacha for allegefly receiving N100.38 Billion worth of stolen property.The office of the Attorney General of the Federal Government had filed a nine count charge against Abacha,but Justice Mamman Kolo of the FCT High court discharge Mohammed Abacha after Federal Government's counsel,Enwelum made an oral application asking the court to withdraw the criminal charges against the suspects.The Judge also granted the application for discontinuation of trial,which was not opposed by the defense counsel  ,Mr Abdullahi Haruna.At the resumed hearing of the case,the Federal Government counsel told the court that he was instructed by the Attorney General of the Federation  {AGF} to withdraw the charges.The prosecution thereafter filed a notice of discontinuation of the case
