 NUT Protest : Wike Warns Against Politicising Insecurity The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has warned against politicising insecurity amid protests by the Nigeria Union of Teachers, FCT wing, over the killing and abduction of school staff and children in Oyo State. Teachers stormed the FCTA Secretariat in Abuja to condemn the killing of Michael Oyedokun and to demand the release of abducted pupils and teachers from Community High School, Ahoro-Esinle in Oriire Local Government Area. The FCT minister addressed the protesters on Tuesday, saying the federal government is on its toes working to secure the rescue of the schoolchildren and their teachers. Wike urged protesters to avoid turning the tragedy into a political issue and to give security efforts time to produce results. CAMEROUN DENIES KNOWLEDGE OF THE RELEASE OF HOSTAGES BY BOKO HARAM.

               According to Cameroon communication minister,Issa Bakery,he said today friday that he was surprised by the news that some hostages kidnapped by Boko Haram militants in Northern Cameroun were released as reported by a news website.''You are the first to give me that information''.According to the report on the alledged release,Boko Haram militants have released the wife of Cameroun Deputy Prime Minister,Amadou Ali,10 Chinese workers and district heads who were kidnapped in different attacks.The Chinese workers were found missing and believed to e taken by Boko Haram on May 16 and the wife of Amadou Ali was also believed to be kidnapped on July 27.
