 NUT Protest : Wike Warns Against Politicising Insecurity The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has warned against politicising insecurity amid protests by the Nigeria Union of Teachers, FCT wing, over the killing and abduction of school staff and children in Oyo State. Teachers stormed the FCTA Secretariat in Abuja to condemn the killing of Michael Oyedokun and to demand the release of abducted pupils and teachers from Community High School, Ahoro-Esinle in Oriire Local Government Area. The FCT minister addressed the protesters on Tuesday, saying the federal government is on its toes working to secure the rescue of the schoolchildren and their teachers. Wike urged protesters to avoid turning the tragedy into a political issue and to give security efforts time to produce results. GOVERNOR FASHOLA,QUERIED THE DISAPPEARANCE OF 1.447,804 MILLION VOTERS NAME FROM THE VOTERS LIST.

            Governor of Lagos state Raji Fashola has queried the disappearance of 1.447,804million voters from the Lagos voter's list and called on the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC,to explain the disappearance,before the distribution of the Permanent Voters card in Lagos.This came about as the governor declared these friday as holiday for all servants,to enable them collect their Permanent Voters Card.The distribution of the cards kicks off in Lagos on friday and will end on sunday.Fashola said ''I am concerned about the report of 4.8 million voters in Lagos state.INEC owes us explanation.During the last election,the voters list in Lagos was 6,247,845 voters.We want to know how 1,447,804 million voters disappeared from the voters list.I am worried whether this is the beginning of a plan to disenfranchise Lagosian's to vote.Our government will stand for all eligible voters to have their names in the register unless INEC could prove why their names were missing on the lists''.One more photo below.
