 FEDERAL MINISTRY OF INFORMATION AND NATIONAL ORIENTATION  PRESS STATEMENT  BINANCE FALSE CLAIM ON BRIBERY DIVERSIONARY  The Federal Government of Nigeria is aware of attempts by Binance to launder its impaired image as an organisation that does not play by the rules and laws guiding business conduct in sovereign nations. In a blog post that has now been published by many international media organisations, in an apparent well-coordinated public relations effort, Binance Chief Executive Officer Richard Teng made false allegations of bribery against unidentified Nigerian government officials who he claimed demanded $150m in cryptocurrency payments to resolve the ongoing criminal investigation against the company.  This claim by Binance CEO lacks any iota of substance. It is nothing but a diversionary tactic and an attempted act of blackmail by a company desperate to obfuscate the grievous criminal charges it is facing in Nigeria. GILLES CISTAC,MOZAMBIQUE INFLUENTIAL LAWYER,WAS ASSASSINATED TODAY IN A TAXI.

               According to Mozambique police spokesman Orlando Modumane,he said ''54 year old Gilles Cistac,who is a French by origin,had been in a taxi on his way to work when a car carrying four men pulled up alongside the cab and one of them shot him several times.The assassination took place today tuesday.Cistac had been a central figure in a debate about the creation of autonomous states in Mozambique,a country that has attracted billions of dollars in foreign investments in recent years after making huge coal and natural gas finds.Mozambique's main opposition party Renamo has called for its politicians to govern regions where it won more votes than the ruling Frelimo party in elections last year.Last month,Cistac told reporters that the creation of autonomous regions would be allowed under the constitution,a controversial stand point given that Renamo party has also proposed that Mozambique should be divided into two countries.For rebel group Renamo said Cistac had been killed because of his views on decentralization.Renamo spokesman Antonio Muchanga said ''He was killed for having expressed his opinions regarding the most contentious political issues in the country''.Presidential spokesman Antonio Gaspar said ''We condemn the attack and demand that the perpetrators are caught and brought to justice''.
