  The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is set to hold an emergency meeting to address the uncertainty surrounding the future of Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle. According to sources, Chelle is considering terminating his contract as the team's manager. The development comes amidst Nigeria's struggles to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. With only seven points from six games, the Super Eagles are currently fourth in Group C, behind leaders South Africa, Rwanda, and Benin Republic. Pressure has been mounting on Chelle, prompting him to travel to Europe in search of reinforcements to bolster the team's defense. However, the uncertainty surrounding his future with the team has reportedly led to a change of heart, with Chelle now considering terminating his contract. The NFF's emergency meeting aims to address the situation and find a resolution. The fate of Chelle and the Super Eagles' World Cup qualifying campaign hang in the balance.

45 FILING STATIONS IN KANO,SHUT DOWN TODAY FOR SELLING ABOVE PUMP PRICE.

                 I just got an information that the Department of Petroleum Resources,DPR in Kano,has clamped down on 45 filing stations for selling petroleum products above regulated pump prices,mutilation of dispensing pump,diversion,hoarding and under delivery of petroleum products,especially the Petroleum Motor Spirit,PMS.DPR Zonal Operation Comptroller incharge of Kano and Jigawa,Alhaji Isah Tafida warned those smuggling PMS from Niger Republic and other neighbouring countries to desist from such criminal act,saying that DPR will not hesitate to hand them over to security agencies for proper prosecution if caught.He also carried journalists along in the surveillance exercise conducted today thursday state that out of the 45 filling stations found wanting,23 sold PMS above approved pump price,four were closed down for hoarding and five were shut down for diversion.12 filling stations were sealed for using faulty pumps.He said the 36 filling stations sealed uo will pay the sum of N100,000 each with a written agreement that such offence will not be committed again.He also said any filling station found guilty for the second time will be closed down for three months and it attracts the penalty of N200 per litre.He noted that the exercise is ongoing in line with the decision of President Muhammadu Buhari to sanitize the Petroleum industry.
