 STATE HOUSE PRESS RELEASE  PRESIDENT TINUBU APPOINTS MINISTER OF STATE FOR PETROLEUM RESOURCES (GAS) AS CO-CHAIRMAN OF NCDMB GOVERNING COUNCIL In line with his avowed commitment to establish a more efficient, targeted, and consistent approval process for unique oil and gas projects in the country, President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Mr. Ekperikpe Ekpo, Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas), as the Co-Chairman of the Governing Council of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB). This is also to further ensure effective oversight of the gas aspect of the nation's assets. The President remains committed to unlocking Nigeria's immense gas potential to stimulate industrial development, job creation, and sustainable economic growth. BUHARI VISITED TODAY,THE SURVIVING VICTIMS OF FRIDAY BOMB BLAST IN ABUJA.{PHOTOS}.

                         Today sunday,President of Nigeria Muhammmadu Buhari visit the survivng victims of friday bomb blast in Abuja ''Nyanya and Kuje''.He visited the victims where they were receiving treatment at the Trauma Centre of the National Hospital where he wished them speed recovery,promosed them that the Federal Government will take full responsibility for settling their medical bills.He also directed his Chief of Staff Mallam Abba Kyari to settle the N268,790.00 medical bill of a young girl in the Paediatric ward of the hospital.The girl's mother Deborah Stephen had broken into tears on seeing President Buhari.She told him that her daughter had been shot by armed robbers who raided their home and that the family could not afford the medical bills.The president who was accompanied by his personal aides and Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun state,visited the intensive care unit,the paediatric unit and general wards of the National Hospital.More photos below.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her.
