  Nigerian Police Officer In Kaduna Threatens Reprisal Attack On Southerners In North Over Edo Killings A police officer from Kaduna State, Hadaina Hussaini Dan-Taki, has threatening reprisal attacks on southerners living in northern Nigeria. Dan-Taki's comment came in response to the killing of 16 northerners in Uromi, Edo State. Meanwhile, on Tuesday, Dan-Taki, through a Facebook post, swore in the name of God, declaring that northerners in the north must take action against southerners.  He further warned that southerners had forgotten that their families were living in the north, vowing that "within one week, the southerners shall see the result."                          Today sunday,President of Nigeria Muhammmadu Buhari visit the survivng victims of friday bomb blast in Abuja ''Nyanya and Kuje''.He visited the victims where they were receiving treatment at the Trauma Centre of the National Hospital where he wished them speed recovery,promosed them that the Federal Government will take full responsibility for settling their medical bills.He also directed his Chief of Staff Mallam Abba Kyari to settle the N268,790.00 medical bill of a young girl in the Paediatric ward of the hospital.The girl's mother Deborah Stephen had broken into tears on seeing President Buhari.She told him that her daughter had been shot by armed robbers who raided their home and that the family could not afford the medical bills.The president who was accompanied by his personal aides and Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun state,visited the intensive care unit,the paediatric unit and general wards of the National Hospital.More photos below.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
