LASG PRESENTS STAFF OF OFFICE TO NEW ONIȘẸ OF ISE KINGDOM The Lagos State Government has presented the Staff of Office and Instrument of Appointment to Prince Ibrahim Adebowale Saliu, as His Royal Majesty, Alaiyeluwa Oba Ibrahim Adebowale Saliu, the Onise of Ise Kingdom in Lekki Local Government Area. The presentation was performed on Friday, August 21, 2026, by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Rural Development, Dr. Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje, alongside the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Rural Development, Mrs. Kikelomo Bolarinwa, with the approval of the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu and the Lagos State Executive Council, following the demise of the late Oba Ganiu Adebowale Adegbesan, Onise of Ise Kingdom. Today thursday,it was reported by Premuim Times at least 105 soldiers of the 157 Battalion,including their commanding officer,are feared missing after they came under intense attack from Boko Haram insurgents at Gudunbali,Borno state,yesterday wednesday.According to one of Premuim Times sources,the terrorists also captured a T-72 tank as well as several artillery weapons from the unit.''Gudunbali was attacked this morning and some weapons were captured from the battalion.Two officers and 105 soldiers are still missing.They captured a T-72 tank from the unit and some artillery weapons were also captured.The commanding Officer {CO} of the battalion is yet to be seen but no one has been confirmed dead yet''.One more photo below.
