 NUT Protest : Wike Warns Against Politicising Insecurity The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has warned against politicising insecurity amid protests by the Nigeria Union of Teachers, FCT wing, over the killing and abduction of school staff and children in Oyo State. Teachers stormed the FCTA Secretariat in Abuja to condemn the killing of Michael Oyedokun and to demand the release of abducted pupils and teachers from Community High School, Ahoro-Esinle in Oriire Local Government Area. The FCT minister addressed the protesters on Tuesday, saying the federal government is on its toes working to secure the rescue of the schoolchildren and their teachers. Wike urged protesters to avoid turning the tragedy into a political issue and to give security efforts time to produce results. 5 SUSPECTED ARMED ROBBERS,WERE KILLED TODAY IN AJAH BY THE NIGERIAN POLICE.

•Bodies of the suspected robbers and the one caught alive.                   Today wedneday,five suspected armed robbers were killed by the Nigerian police,and another suspected robber was arrested with bullet wounds.A policeman told pressmen that the suspects had engaged policemen from Elemoro Division,Ajah in Ibeju Lekki Local Government Area in a shootout where they were killed. The police source said that the five robbers were killed on the spot and one injured by bullets was arrested..''The police in Elemoro got information that the suspects were operating at Abule Parapo,opposite Awoyaya in Elemoro area of Ajah around 2 a.m.The suspects engaged the police in a shootout as soon as they saw them.Two locally made double barrel shot guns,one cutlass and iron cutter was recovered from them.The gang had been terrorising residents of Ajah,robbing and raping women''.The corpes of the dead robbers and the injured suspects were brought to the Lagos State Police Command headquarters,Ikeja about 12:15 p.m.The operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad {SARS} have taken over the case file from the Divisional Police Officer at Elemoro,SP Sani Limawa for further investigation.
