 NUT Protest : Wike Warns Against Politicising Insecurity The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has warned against politicising insecurity amid protests by the Nigeria Union of Teachers, FCT wing, over the killing and abduction of school staff and children in Oyo State. Teachers stormed the FCTA Secretariat in Abuja to condemn the killing of Michael Oyedokun and to demand the release of abducted pupils and teachers from Community High School, Ahoro-Esinle in Oriire Local Government Area. The FCT minister addressed the protesters on Tuesday, saying the federal government is on its toes working to secure the rescue of the schoolchildren and their teachers. Wike urged protesters to avoid turning the tragedy into a political issue and to give security efforts time to produce results. THE NIGERIAN ARMY,ARRESTED A SUSPECTED MASTERMIND OF THE CHIBOK GIRLS ABDUCTION.

                     Today saturday,the Nigerian Army said that it had put in place machinery to establish the true identity of a suspected leader of the Boko Haram sect,Jarasu Shira,who was apprehended last week in Borno and his believed to be the brain behind the abduction of the Chibok school girls.Major General Lucky Irabor,the Deputy Theatre Commander of Operation Lafiya Dole,disclosed this in an interview with NAN in Maiduguri.Irabor said that knowing the true identity of the suspect was to avoid past mistakes where individuals were arrested based on mistaken identities.''We have in our custody a good number of suspected terrorists that were apprehended as a result of our routine operations.One of those suspects is believed to be on the list of our 100 most wanted terrorists leaders''.However the army must ascertain the true identity of the suspect before final confirmation to the media.''There are other things we need to do to ensure that is he who we said he is.Although the facial attributes confirmed he is the one,but it is not just by looks alone.We have had cases where we have mistaken identity only to come up to say we are sorry,that is what we are trying to avoid this time''.Jafaru Shira is believed to be the sect leader around Damboa-Chibok Ashira axis of Borno State before he was apprehended.He is believed to be one of the masterminds of the abduction of Chibok girls on April 14,2014.One more photo below.
