 U.S Finalizes $20,000 Visa Bond Policy Affecting Nigeria and 49 Other Nations The United States government has officially formalized its visa bond policy, making it a permanent measure that could require travelers from 50 designated countries, including Nigeria, to pay a refundable bond of up to $20,000 before receiving certain visas. First introduced as a pilot scheme in 2025, the policy targets applicants seeking B1 and B2 visas, which are designated for business and tourism. According to the U.S. Department of State, the initiative is designed to bolster compliance with local immigration laws and drastically reduce visa overstay rates. THE NIGERIAN ARMY,IS BUSY CLEARING THE REMNANTS OF BOKO HARAM IN ABOUT 9 AREAS TODAY.

                        The 29 Task Force Brigade troops have also been busy conducting clearing operations on the remnants of Boko Haram terrorists in their area of operations with remarkable success.Within the last two days the units under the Brigade cleared the remnants of Boko Haram terrorists hibernating in the following areas:Abukarti,Baradili,Bogozo,Gaijaribul Abukar,Kolomi,Marguba,Umarumi and Yasori 1 and 2.The gallant troops also recovered several items including 1 single barrel gun,motorcycles,drums and bags of millet and dead cattle that ran into Improvised Explosive Device {IED} buried by the Boko Haram terrorists.Similarly,the troops detonated an IED in one of the building at Yasori 1.It was equally discovered that prior to the clearance,the terrorists have also been frequently Borgozo general area which they used as harbour and staging area when conducting their nefarious activities.-Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman,Acting Director,Army Public Relations.More Photos below.
