TROOPS ARREST SUSPECTED KIDNAPPER, RECOVER AK-47 RIFLE ALONG BENIN–SAPELE ROAD Troops of 4 Brigade Nigerian Army, Operation WABAIZIGAN, have arrested a suspected kidnapper and recovered an AK-47 rifle and ammunition during a targeted operation along the Benin–Sapele Road in Ikpoba-Okha LGA of Edo State. The suspect, identified as Olamide Oyeniyi, was arrested on 12 September 2026 at Obaretin Community by troops conducting operations to disrupt criminal activities and safeguard major transportation routes within the area. Items recovered from the suspect include one AK-47 rifle, one magazine and eight rounds of 7.62mm Special ammunition. Other items recovered are one Tecno mobile phone, two bags, one torchlight, one music box and assorted charms. Somali born Supermodel Iman Abdulmajid,lost her mother Mariam to the cold hands of death yesterday thursday.Iman captioned these picture she took with her parents on her wedding in Tuscany on 24 April 1992, ''Saddened by death of my mom Maryan Baadi.May Allah grant her the highest jennah.I beg that you respect my family's privacy during our time of grief #ripmaryanbaadi''.Her mother was an activist,so was her father.Her parent's came from a generation of young Somalis who were actively involved in getting independence for Somalia in 1960.Iman's mother died two months after the death of her musician husband David Bowie.She was married to her late husband 24 years ago,and they have a 15 year old named Alexandra Zahra,known as Lexi.May her mother's soul rest in peace,amen.More photos below.
