Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country. As the death toll of Kenya 6 storey building collapse reaches 21,the aid workers said hopes were fading of finding more survivors in the rubble today.Police said they were questioning the owner of the six storey residential block that collapsed late on friday after days of heavy rain and floods,but no one had been charged.Residents and rescue workers have been sifting through piles of broken concrete at the site in the eastern Huruma suburb ever since,rescuing 135 people,according to the latest police figures.But conditions were getting more challenging.Red Cross official Anthony Mwangi said ''In conditions of no air,firt,no food,no water,it's very difficult for that person to stay alive''.Authorities had condemned the 198 room building and there has been no official explanation of why it remained occupied.More photos below.
