 Nigeria's Defence Minister Summons Service Chiefs Amid Surge in Attacks on Military Bases Nigeria's Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (Rtd), has urgently summoned the nation's top military leaders to a high-level meeting at the Ministry of Defence headquarters in Abuja. The session addresses the escalating attacks targeting military installations, particularly in the North East region. The meeting includes key figures such as: - Chief of Defence Staff, General Olufemi Oluyede - Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Waidi Shaibu - Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke - Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Idi Abass - Representatives from the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) The summons comes in response to recent deadly assaults by terrorists on military bases in the North East. NIGHT WEDDINGS IN KENYA COASTAL TOWN OF MOMBASA,HAVE BEEN BANNED.

                         According to CCTV,Kenya security agents have banned night wedding ceremonies at the coastal town of Mombasa due to increased cases of insecurity.Wedding organizers have been asked to ensure the weddings end by 10 pm or seek clearance from the security agents and must get police protection,which is paid for according to the Daily Nation.The decision came after increases attacks on residents by knife wielding gangs.Some of the residents supported the ban while others opposed the decision claiming that security should be free to allow the celebrations to continue as usual.The Swahili community in the region hold overnight events,weddings that extend up to five days.''The government cannot ban night weddinfs,which are cultural in this region..Instead,security agencies must deal with the gangs.We are in the 21st century and such orders are archaic'' said Commission for Human Rights and Justice executive director Julius Ogogoh.A group of young criminals have been roaming the streets of Mombosa robbing and beating up according to the local media report.One more photo below.
