 NAF Appoints Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame as Spokesperson The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has appointed Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame as its new Director of Public Relations and Information. He replaces Air Vice Marshal Olusola Akinboyewa, who has been reassigned to the Defence Headquarters as Director of Civil-Military Relations. A seasoned officer, Ejodame has extensive experience in logistics, strategic planning, and defence management. He holds a PhD in Information Systems and Management Studies and has served as Nigeria’s Defence Adviser in Malaysia, among other key roles. His appointment is expected to enhance the NAF’s public relations and communication strategies.

         Lagos State Governor,Mr Akinwunmi Ambode,his counterparts in Oyo and Osun states,Senator Abiola Ajimobi and Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola today wednesday made case for huge economic empowerment for women and eradication of female genital mutilation.The Governors,who spoke in Ibadan at the opening ceremony of National Women Conference of the Oyo State officials Wives Association with the theme: ''The Ultimate Woman At A Time Like This,'' Said there was great need for women to be supported more than ever before especially at this current time of economic recession.While alluding to the aptness of the theme of the conference,Governor Ambode said the current economic situation had no doubt caused serious challenge on the managerial acumen of women,but that the men and the society must give them the necessary support to mitigate the impact of the economic realities of the moment.He said ''A time like this does not know the difference between men and women but women are known to be more resilient,more spiritual,more ready to face and succeed in difficult situations.Women are like magicians because they always make something out of nothing,.Even when there is no increase in the money for family upkeep,women are expected to do something'' notwithstanding the inflationary trend that has jerked prices above and beyond the level that we could have all imagined,'' he said.More photos below.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
