  President Bola Tinubu has identified the creative economy as a pivotal element of his administration’s economic diversification agenda, reaffirming his commitment to positioning Nigeria’s creative sector as a driving force for global influence. The President stated this at the launch of the 2024 Abuja International Carnival at Eagle Square, Abuja. President Tinubu, represented by Vice-President Kashim Shettima, said the carnival reaffirms the essence of who Nigerians are—”a people of culture, a people of art, a people of colour, and a people of shared values”. EFCC DOCKS TWO UNDERGRADUATES FOR FRAUD TODAY.{PHOTO}

Image may contain: 2 people, people standing, stripes and shoes                                            The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,EFCC,today,February 23rd,2017,arraigned the duo of Aneke Collins Nnamdi and Sifon Samuel Israel both students of Federal Polytechnics,Oko,Anambra before Justice Theophine U. Oguji of the State High Court sitting in Awka,Anambra State,on a four count charge bordering on Conspiracy and Stealing.
First City Momument Bank had petitioned the Commission that they received report from one of their customers,Girls Secondary School,Awka,over an unauthorized web trabsfer of over N10 million on their account with the bank.The defendants pleaded not guilty to the charge when it was read to them.In view of their plea,the prosecution counsel,M. T. Iko asked the court to fix a date for the commencement of trial and urged the court to remand the defendants in prison custody.However,the defense counsel,J.N. Okongwu asked for a short date to file his bail application.The case was adjourned to 22 March and 4,9 May,2017 for trail.The defendant are to be remanded in prison custody pending the determination of their bail.
