NAF INTENSIFIES AIRPOWER CAMPAIGN, STRENGTHENS AIR PRESENCE IN SOKOTO TO DENY TERRORISTS FREEDOM OF ACTION The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has intensified its airpower campaign against terrorism, banditry, kidnapping and other criminal activities across the North-West, with a strengthened air presence in Sokoto State to support ongoing joint security operations. The initiative reflects the Service’s determination to sustain pressure on hostile elements, enhance aerial surveillance and maintain the capacity for rapid response to emerging threats, while providing effective air support to ground forces operating within the Joint Operations Area. The strengthened air presence is particularly significant in the fight against asymmetric threats, where terrorists and bandits exploit difficult terrain, mobility and concealment to evade ground forces. According to Hindu Newspaper,as much as 170 grams of cocaine and 590 grams of fine-quality herein estimated to be worth a consolidated amount of 2 crore,about $320,000 in the underground drug market were seized from the accused identified as 28 years old Uchenna as pictured above from Nigeria,Indian Ajay {33} and his associate Naresh Kumar {39},from Mohan Garden in West Delhi's Uttam Nagar.Mr Ravindra Yadav,joint Commissioner of police {crime} disclosed that Uchenna was arrested after a trap was laid for him near a local taxi stand at Dwarka Mor between 2pm and 3pm on Saturday.
