 Kwara Govt donates 150 off-road motorcycles to Nigerian Army •LGAs acquire 320 motorcycles to boost vigilantes' security operations  In a bid to further strengthen security operations and maintain peace across Kwara State, His Excellency Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq-led Kwara State Government has donated 150 off-road motorcycles to the Nigerian Army. The motorcycles are expected to enhance troops' mobility and effectiveness, particularly in rugged terrains such as forests, where non-state actors may be hiding with intent to destabilise the peaceful atmosphere of the state. Image may contain: 1 person, indoor                     I wish to use this opportunity to felicitate with all as we celebrate the Easter Season this Year 2017.I indeed felicitate with all troops under command for successfully witnessing this sacred period of Easter.This alongside the preceding Lenten period reminds us of personal sacrifices for the common good,care for the less privileged,protection of the vulnerable and love for fellow citizens.These are virtues that our profession as soldiers extol.I therefore want all to use the season to pray for our dear country and troops especially those deployed in the fight against insurgency in the NE and in other theatres both at home and abroad in pursuit of our constitutional mandate.Let's join hands to pray that the C-in-C and all our leaders should succeed in their efforts to deliver to the people a safe and prosperous country we all can be proud of.I therefore charge you all to remain loyal,alert,vigilant and professional in all you do this season and always.It is thus an opportunity to renew our faith,re-dedicate our commitment to service and united in our collective resolve to defend our country.Happy Easter once more and God bless.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
