 Kwara Govt donates 150 off-road motorcycles to Nigerian Army •LGAs acquire 320 motorcycles to boost vigilantes' security operations  In a bid to further strengthen security operations and maintain peace across Kwara State, His Excellency Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq-led Kwara State Government has donated 150 off-road motorcycles to the Nigerian Army. The motorcycles are expected to enhance troops' mobility and effectiveness, particularly in rugged terrains such as forests, where non-state actors may be hiding with intent to destabilise the peaceful atmosphere of the state. MAN BAGS FIVE YEARS IMPRISONMENT TODAY IN LAGOS FOR N30M FRAUD.{PHOTO}.

Oyefeso of the Lagos State High Court sitting in Ikeja, Lagos has convicted and sentenced a businessman, Segun Oyekanmi, Managing Director, Loben Investment Co-operative Multi-purpose Society Limited, to five years imprisonment for N30million fraud. The convict alongside his company and one Ade Bosede ( still at large) had been arraigned on October 26, 2016 on a three-count charge bordering on stealing, conspiracy to steal and issuance of dishonoured cheques to the tune of N30 million. The convict had collected the sum of N30m (Thirty Million Naira) from one Olufunke Dada, with an assurance that he wanted to give it to some traders as soft loans with interest.Image may contain: 1 person, suit

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
