 U.S Finalizes $20,000 Visa Bond Policy Affecting Nigeria and 49 Other Nations The United States government has officially formalized its visa bond policy, making it a permanent measure that could require travelers from 50 designated countries, including Nigeria, to pay a refundable bond of up to $20,000 before receiving certain visas. First introduced as a pilot scheme in 2025, the policy targets applicants seeking B1 and B2 visas, which are designated for business and tourism. According to the U.S. Department of State, the initiative is designed to bolster compliance with local immigration laws and drastically reduce visa overstay rates.      The Duchess of Cornwall has had a busy week, full of engagements.
On Monday, HRH attended the Women of the Year Lunch, where she gave a speech: "You all represent, not only yourselves and your own achievements, but also the millions of remarkable women who make a difference every day."
On Tuesday, HRH launched a new campaign with the Royal Voluntary Service #OurAmazingPeople (with a little help from Brian Blessed and Felicity Kendal amongst others!) In the evening, HRH presented George Saunders with the #ManBooker2017 Prize for his novel Lincoln in the Bardo.
Finally, today The Duchess opened the new Sultan Nazrin Shah Centre at Worcester College, University of Oxford.More photos below.
