 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken. LASG PRESENTS 5-YEAR CIVIL SERVICE DEVELOPMENT PLAN TO IMPROVE SERVICE DELIVERY TODAY.{PHOTOS}.

        Lagos State State Government has presented a 5-year development plan to make its civil service a more pragmatic, effective and transparent body with the sole responsibility of effectively serving the people of the State in particular and the country in general.
Speaking at a two-day retreat for Management and Senior staff of Civil Service Commission at Ikeja themed: “Towards A More Pragmatic Civil Service Commission”, the Chairman, Lagos State Civil Service Commission, Mrs. Adeyinka Oyemade said it is important to ensure that the State Civil Service is a catalyst for development in Lagos.
According to her, “The proposed plan would focus on making the civil service in Lagos a more efficient, effective and transparent organization that is capable of competing on all fronts globally”.
While describing the State civil service as the strongest workforce in the country, Oyemade implored the participants to maximize the opportunity presented by the retreat to increase their knowledge of globally accepted people-oriented service delivery practices.
She also encouraged them to network amongst themselves, learn to be better team players, resolve issues affecting the discharge of their official duties and proffer solutions that will be of immense benefit to the Commission.
Earlier, the Permanent Secretary, Civil Service Commission, Mr. Taofeek Adeyemi Fashola said the retreat is aimed at emphasizing the importance of synergy and capacity building of staff as part of efforts to improve service delivery.He urged attendees to participate actively and make the necessary contribution to all presentations in order to gain from the wealth of experience and intellectual resource of the facilitators.More photos below.
