 TROOPS ARREST SUSPECTED KIDNAPPER, RECOVER AK-47 RIFLE ALONG BENIN–SAPELE ROAD Troops of 4 Brigade Nigerian Army, Operation WABAIZIGAN, have arrested a suspected kidnapper and recovered an AK-47 rifle and ammunition during a targeted operation along the Benin–Sapele Road in Ikpoba-Okha LGA of Edo State. The suspect, identified as Olamide Oyeniyi, was arrested on 12 September 2026 at Obaretin Community by troops conducting operations to disrupt criminal activities and safeguard major transportation routes within the area. Items recovered from the suspect include one AK-47 rifle, one magazine and eight rounds of 7.62mm Special ammunition. Other items recovered are one Tecno mobile phone, two bags, one torchlight, one music box and assorted charms. KANO PILLARS STAR, CHINEDU UDORJI SET TO BE BURIED IN HIS HOMETOWN.{MIXED PHOTOS}.

      Former Enyimba star and Kano pillars captain Chinedu Udoji who died after a road traffic accident is said to be buried in his home town in Anambra.
The footballer who hails from Igbariam in Anambra East died just after his man-of-the-match performance for his team, Kano Pillars, in the match-day 9 of the Nigerian Professional Football League against his former club Enyimba FC.
According to reports, Udoji played full time in the match and was voted man of the match before he was engaged in auto accident on Sunday 18th February 2018.
Before his death, he was one of the most experienced players in the NPFL-good in the air, excellent passing skills, and his man-marking was out of this world.His death is a painful loss to both Anambrans and Nigerians in general. May his soul rest in peace.
