 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country. NIGERIAN ARMY ENCOUNTERED BOKO HARAM TERRORISTS IN BORNO {PHOTO},#PRESS RELEASE.

     1.Troops of 242 Battalion deployed in operation LAFIA DOLE in conjunction with troops of operation LAST HOLD on 28 June 2018 while on raid patrol at Mallam Kafari, Goni, Alkari, Burburna , Kantanna villages in Monguno Local Government Area of Borno state encountered Boko Haram terrorists.
2. Three Boko Haram terrorists were neutralized during the encounter.
3. Items recovered include:
a. Two AK 47 rifles.
b. 51 rounds of 7.62mm Special ammunition.
c. Four Magazines.
d. One 36 Hand grenade
4. However, one soldier was wounded during the operation and is currently receiving medical attention.
5. The general public is hereby reminded once again to always report suspicious activities to the nearest military formation or any security agent for prompt action.
