 A priest in Anambra State wedded a couple yesterday, despite disputes with the bride’s father In a video circulating online, the Reverend Father narrated that The father of the bride who is from Nteje had insisted that the wedding should not take place unless his daughter swøre never to associate with his mother whom he has a quarrel with. The conflict arose from past marriage issues between the father and her mother. Before the wedding, the father repeatedly met with the priest, warning that he had already taken the bride's mother to a deity and that the girl must follow him to the shrine to appease that deity before the marriage can go on. For peace to prevail, the priest advised the couple to comply with all the father’s requests so the wedding could proceed, the priest even donated some of the items that the brides father told her to bring to use in appeasing the deity.       The attention of 7 Division Nigerian Army has been drawn to a circultion on social media of a purported travel time restriction on travellers to Maiduguri.
The statement is completely false and clearly a mischief intended to misinform, cause disaffection.and breach the peace. At no time was any such statement issued by anyone on any travel time restriction.
Once more for the avoidance of doubt the general public is please informed that there is no travel time restriction of any kind emanating from 7 Division or signed by anyone. The good people of Borno and other law abiding visitors are enjoined to go about their lawful businesses and continue to avail the security agencies with timely information to counter insurgency and other sundry crime.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
