 TROOPS ARREST SUSPECTED KIDNAPPER, RECOVER AK-47 RIFLE ALONG BENIN–SAPELE ROAD Troops of 4 Brigade Nigerian Army, Operation WABAIZIGAN, have arrested a suspected kidnapper and recovered an AK-47 rifle and ammunition during a targeted operation along the Benin–Sapele Road in Ikpoba-Okha LGA of Edo State. The suspect, identified as Olamide Oyeniyi, was arrested on 12 September 2026 at Obaretin Community by troops conducting operations to disrupt criminal activities and safeguard major transportation routes within the area. Items recovered from the suspect include one AK-47 rifle, one magazine and eight rounds of 7.62mm Special ammunition. Other items recovered are one Tecno mobile phone, two bags, one torchlight, one music box and assorted charms. BURIAL OF THE 5 AIR OFFICERS TODAY IN ABUJA,WHO DIED IN AN HELICOPTER CRASH IN DAMASAK.{PHOTOS}.

Image result for burial of the five who die in an helicopter crash       The Chief of Air Staff,Air Marshal SB Abubakar,on behalf of offiicers,Airmen,Airwomen and Civilian Staff of the Nigerian Air Force,commiserates with the families of Late Flight Lieutenant Perowei Jacob,Late Flight Lieutenant Kaltho Paul Lilyofas,late Sergeant Auwal Ibrahim,Late Lance Corporal Adamu Nura and late Aircraftman Meshack Ishmael,who died in a helicopter crash on 2 January 2019 in Damasak.They had their funeral today at the National Cemetery,Umaru Musa Yar'adua Way,Abuja around 9am.May their soul rest in peace,Amen.More photos below.
