 Walton, Kentucky- 2 elderly women lose their lives and another individual is critically injured in a crash that caused a dump truck to crash through restaurant.  While diners were enjoying a meal at Boondocks Pub on Tuesday, April 8th, a tragic incident occurred shattering the peaceful scene. At around 4:30 p.m. an SUV pulled out in front of a fully loaded dump truck. The driver of the dump truck attempted to brake and steer clear of the SUV but they were not able to avoid a collision. The SUV was struck by the dump truck and the impact caused the SUV to cross the southbound lane where it struck a guardrail and flipped before coming to rest on its top. Sadly the crash took the lives of 91-year-old Eva Mulberry and 89-year-old Betty Holland. A 66-year-old woman who was in the SUV was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition. CHIEF OF ARMY STAFF TO SPEAK AT A GLOBAL ANTI-TERRORISM AND COUNTER TERRORISM CONFERENCE IN LONDON+TO BE CONFERRED WITH SPECIAL LEADERSHIP AWARD.{PHOTO}.#PRESS RELEASE.

    In furtherance of the recognition of the strategic leadership role in the global fight against terrorism, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Nigerian Army, Lieutenant General Tukur Yusufu Buratai has been invited to speak at the first ever Global Antiterrorism and Counterterrorism Conference and Workshop in London, United Kingdom, on the 17 of June 2019.
Similarly, he will be conferred with a special Leadership and Counter Terrorism Strategic Award for his exceptional and continued role in combatting and significantly reducing the capacity of Boko Haram/ISWAP in Nigeria and the Lake Chad Region under the Multi National Joint Task Force at the conference.
According to the organisers of the conference, the Anti Terrorism Accreditation Board (ATAB) and Global Risk International UK, the COAS will present a Keynote address on the topic, “Nigeria unique Counter Insurgency-a working Counter Terrorism model for replication in Africa.”
The organizers further stated that the workshop and conference is aimed at evaluating the current and future jihadist threat and expose frontline practitioners on how to utilize practical methods, tools, enhance technical and structural challenges posed by homegrown terrorists. It will also evaluate the links and nexus between jihadists’ threats and retaliatory/communal violence as both feeders and enablers.
It also enhances interagency and service component integration for all matters, sharing of intelligence and best practices and provide a unique opportunity for national and regional country teams and service components to synchronize near-term goals.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
