 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country. QUEEN ELIZABETH AWARDED JAZZ MUSICIAN 'GARY GROSBY OBE' WITH 'THE QUEEN'S MEDAL FOR MUSIC' TODAY AT BUCKINGHAM PALACE.{PHOTOS}.

     The Queen's Medal for Music has been awarded to jazz musician Gary Crosby OBE. Today The Queen presented the award to Mr. Crosby at Buckingham Palace.
Gary Crosby OBE is a British jazz double bassist, composer, and co-founder and Artistic Director of Tomorrow's Warriors a jazz education group which nurtures and develops young musicians.
The Queen's Medal for Music, established in 2005, is presented annually to an outstanding individual or group of musicians who have had a major influence on the musical life of the nation.
On receiving the award, Mr Crosby said:
“I’m honoured to receive The Queen’s Medal for Music, and humbled to join such a distinguished group of Medal recipients. As a founder of Tomorrow’s Warriors, I’m also delighted to be recognised for my work as an educator and mentor to the many young jazz musicians we’ve worked with over the years.”.One more photo below.
