 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken. QUEEN ELIZABETH AWARDED JAZZ MUSICIAN 'GARY GROSBY OBE' WITH 'THE QUEEN'S MEDAL FOR MUSIC' TODAY AT BUCKINGHAM PALACE.{PHOTOS}.

     The Queen's Medal for Music has been awarded to jazz musician Gary Crosby OBE. Today The Queen presented the award to Mr. Crosby at Buckingham Palace.
Gary Crosby OBE is a British jazz double bassist, composer, and co-founder and Artistic Director of Tomorrow's Warriors a jazz education group which nurtures and develops young musicians.
The Queen's Medal for Music, established in 2005, is presented annually to an outstanding individual or group of musicians who have had a major influence on the musical life of the nation.
On receiving the award, Mr Crosby said:
“I’m honoured to receive The Queen’s Medal for Music, and humbled to join such a distinguished group of Medal recipients. As a founder of Tomorrow’s Warriors, I’m also delighted to be recognised for my work as an educator and mentor to the many young jazz musicians we’ve worked with over the years.”.One more photo below.
