  NBC bans Eedris Abdulkareem’s protest song ‘Tell Your Papa’ from radio, TV The National Broadcasting Commission has barred Nigerian radio and television stations from airing the trending song “Tell Your Papa” by veteran rapper, Eedris Abdulkareem, citing its “objectionable nature.” In a memo dated April 9, 2025 and issued by the Coordinating Director of Broadcast Monitoring, Susan Obi, the commission declared the track Not To Be Broadcast (NTBB) under Section 3.1.8 of the Nigeria Broadcasting Code. This section prohibits content deemed inappropriate, offensive, or in breach of public decency from being aired on Nigerian broadcast platforms. According to the NBC, while the song has gained momentum across social media platforms, its lyrical content fails to meet the standards of responsible broadcasting. ENTERTAINERS WHO ENCOURAGE CRIME SHOULD BE DEALT WITH- ALI BABA.{PHOTOS}.

     Entertainers in Nigeria have been urged to collaborate with the EFCC, by using their creative arts to fight against financial and internet crimes in Nigeria by living a life worthy of emulation for young Nigerians, who look onto them as role models. Veteran ace comedian, Atunyota Alleluya Akpobome, aka Ali Baba, who spoke in Lagos in an interview with EFCC, at the weekend enjoined the Commission not to spare any of his colleagues in entertainment industry who uses his or her work of art to encourage internet fraud popularly known as yahoo-yahoo.
Ali Baba, however, tasked his colleagues to use their profession to rewrite the narrative in the fight against corruption and urged them to stay out of crime adding that the EFCC shouldn’t take it lightly in dealing with entertainers who encourage crime especially, cybercrime.More photos below.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
