 Police probe Sallah killings in Kano, invite Emir Sanusi for questioning The Police Force has invited Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II for questioning over the killings during the Sallah celebration in Kano. The letter dated April 4, 2025 and signed by CP Olajide Rufus Ibitoye, Commissioner of Police (Operations), said the invitation was under the directive of the Inspector General of Police. The monarch is to report to the Force Intelligence Department, opposite the Police headquarters, Area 11, Abuja, on Tuesday, April 8 by 10:00am. “I have the directives of the Inspector General of police, through the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Force Intelligence Department (FID) to invite you for an investigative meeting with regards to an incident that occurred during the Sallah celebration within your domain. “Your availability is highly sought for a purposeful investigation,” the invitation letter emphasised. 5 MORE COVID-19 PATIENTS DISCHARGED TODAY.{PHOTOS}.#PRESS RELEASE.

     Dear citizens,
As we commemorate the sacrifice of Love this Easter, I bring to you more awesome news from our isolation facilities. Today, five more patients; four females, and one male have been discharged to reunite with their families and the society.
The patients were discharged having recovered fully and tested negative twice consecutively to COVID19.
With the newly discharged patients, we now have a total of 55 people that have been successfully managed for COVID19 at our isolation facilities and discharged to the community.
This news, especially on this auspicious day, gives me joy and happiness and I am sure it does to you too. While we look forward to more great news from our effort to contain the pandemic, let's all continue to show love and sacrifice for the course of humanity. Stay at home, practice Social Distancing Principle, observe highest possible personal and hand hygiene and report suspicion to appropriate persons.
Let's continue to make the little sacrifices for the greater good.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
