  President Bola Tinubu has identified the creative economy as a pivotal element of his administration’s economic diversification agenda, reaffirming his commitment to positioning Nigeria’s creative sector as a driving force for global influence. The President stated this at the launch of the 2024 Abuja International Carnival at Eagle Square, Abuja. President Tinubu, represented by Vice-President Kashim Shettima, said the carnival reaffirms the essence of who Nigerians are—”a people of culture, a people of art, a people of colour, and a people of shared values”.      The administration of Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum has so far connected 17 towns to the National grid in Southern Borno senatorial district.
The benefiting towns and villages include, Bidam, Damaturu, Borkulak, Kulara, Lakundum, Gundiri, and Bargu in Shani local government area. Others include, Kukurupu, Kwakshar, Pelathabu, Yaragi, Nduraku, Sakwa Bura, Ngasam and Gula in Hawul local government area, as well as Jaragol in Bayo local government area.
This is unprecedented in the quest to bring development and dividends of democracy to the door step of the rural dwellers, which will in turn reduce the rural urban migration.One more photo below.
