  President Bola Tinubu has identified the creative economy as a pivotal element of his administration’s economic diversification agenda, reaffirming his commitment to positioning Nigeria’s creative sector as a driving force for global influence. The President stated this at the launch of the 2024 Abuja International Carnival at Eagle Square, Abuja. President Tinubu, represented by Vice-President Kashim Shettima, said the carnival reaffirms the essence of who Nigerians are—”a people of culture, a people of art, a people of colour, and a people of shared values”. • Earlier today the ambassador the Lebanese embassy in Nigeria H.E Mr. Houssam Diab, paid a visit to NAPTIP in a bid to continue the fight against Human Trafficking and discuss ways forward.
• The Ambassador talked about the Lebanese government stopping work permit visas specifically as preventative measure for Nigerians in particular so as to avoid irregular migration before a better solution can be reached.
• The Director General’s response, she assured the Ambassador that there will be more collaborations with the Lebanese embassy in Nigeria in the future to perfect issues around legal migration for mutual benefit.
