I’ll never support Peter Obi's presidential ambition - Seyi Law Popular stand-up comedian, Oluwaseyitan Lawrence Aletile, also known as Seyi Law has vowed never to support the presidential ambition of former Labour Party (LP) candidate, Peter Obi.   In an interview on Tejubabyface show, Seyi Law attributed his reasons to Obi's failure to call the Obidient movement to order, particularly after its supporters allegedly attacked his wife and children due to his support for President Bola Tinubu. Seyi Law expressed deep resentment, stating that the attack on his family crossed a boundary that makes forgiveness impossible.  He emphasised that Peter Obi's refusal to admit and reprimand the Obidients for their actions solidifies his decision.  Seyi Law said: “I don’t feel down at all because when you talk too much, I swear for you. One of the good things that God has done for me is that my anger doesn’t last long. “Personal anger for me doesn’t last long. The only pla...

WE ARE INVESTING MORE IN DIGITISATION, ICT-BASED INITIATIVES - LAGOS CHIEF JUDGE.{PHOTO}.#PRESS RELEASE.

The Chief Judge of Lagos State, Justice Kazeem Alogba has disclosed that the Judiciary is embracing a more digitised and ICT compliant process in all its legal engagements.
Justice Alogba, who made the disclosure when he received the Executives of Epe branch of Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), on a courtesy visit to his office at the Ikeja High Court, stated that the #EndSARS protest and the pandemic brought about major setbacks for Justice dispensation in the State, adding that the incident had also paved a way for the Judiciary to pursue more ICT programmes.
He said, “The #EndSARS incident has brought us to a more appreciative position on what we should do about our Directorates and that is why we are vigorously pursuing an ICT programme in the judiciary. We are, however, grateful to the State Government for all its assistance so far in ensuring that we function well at work as best as we can for now”.
While informing that about three thousand files have been recovered after the massive damage by hoodlums at the Lagos High Court, Igbosere, during the #EndSARS protest, Alogba said that the State Judiciary had been uploading cases on the DIL system, which serves as the ICT unit, since 2013 and this has helped in recovering some of the case files that were lost when the court was vandalised.
The Chief Judge also said that he had embarked on a journey of equipping libraries in the Judiciary with the aim of making research work easier for legal officers and other staff of the Judiciary.
"We have also bought some other substantive law and practice books authored by different persons and I have made it a policy to buy for the headquarters and all the branch libraries. We can never be up to standard and competitive if we don’t have books. You will all see a lot of improvement in our libraries this year”, he stated.
On the request for the timely assignment of cases to Judges and other necessary assistance on some immediate needs in the branch, the Chief Judge promised to look into their request and act on it promptly.

Earlier in his remarks, the Chairman of the Bar Association, Epe, Prince Ademola Koko, thanked the CJ for honouring their request despite everything that happened in the year 2020 to the State Judiciary, expressing gratitude to God for giving the CJ the wisdom to handle the situation in a way that did not affect the judiciary more than expected.
Koko, however, pleaded with Justice Alogba to assist in ensuring that cases are assigned on time to Judges in Epe by the Admin Judge and canvassed for more Judges and amenities that will make work easier for them, staff members and lawyers in Epe.
Other members of the visiting team include Funmi Adeogun, the Vice-Chairman, Jimoh Saliu and Prince Sunday Abimbola, Secretary among other executives.
