Renowned industrialist Ratan Tata, who passed away in October 2024, ensured that his longtime home and office staff were well taken care of in his will.  According to The Times of India, Tata left over ā‚¹3 crore for his domestic servants and employees, distributing ā‚¹15 lakh to each staff member who had served him for at least seven years. The amount was to be given proportionate to their years of service. The bulk of Tataā€™s ā‚¹3,800-crore estate has been bequeathed to the Ratan Tata Endowment Foundation and the Ratan Tata Endowment Trust. However, some of his closest employees received special mentions. His longtime cook, Rajan Shaw, received over ā‚¹1 crore, including a ā‚¹51 lakh loan waiver. His butler, Subbaiah Konar, was left ā‚¹66 lakh, including a ā‚¹36 lakh loan waiver, while his secretary, Delnaz Gilder, was given ā‚¹10 lakh. Additionally, his executive assistant, Shantanu Naidu, had his ā‚¹1 crore education loan for Cornell University waived. Ratan Tata also instructed that his clothesā€”...

The Duke of Edinburgh was closely involved in the planning of his own Funeral. As a result, it will involve a number of unique touches which reflect his life and work.
Many of the moments choreographed by The Duke demonstrate his lifelong commitment to the Armed Forces.
ā—¾ļøHis Royal Highnessā€™s coffin will be carried by both the Grenadier Guards and the Royal Marines during tomorrowā€™s ceremony.
ā—¾ļøThe Duke of Edinburghā€™s two fell ponies - Balmoral Nevis and Notlaw Storm ā€“ will pull a carriage designed by The Duke of Edinburgh eight years ago.
ā—¾ļøThe Duke's insignia are the badges and medals which represent His Royal Highnessā€™s status in a variety of countries and institutions. They include his Field Marshal's baton and Royal Air Force Wings, together with decorations from orders of chivalry in Denmark and Greece. The insignia will be laid at the altar in St Georgeā€™s Chapel for the Funeral Service.
His Royal Highness helped design the Land Rover which will carry his coffin.
The vehicle will be driven by soldiers from the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers of which The Duke was Colonel-in-Chief.More photos below.
