 A Mother's Day Nightmare in Princeton, Illinois. A 3-year-old boy was struck by gunfire as police burst into a barricaded room, ending a frightening hostage situation. Multiple agencies responded to the Hummingbird Mobile Home Park in Princeton, Illinois, on Sunday, May 10th at 2:42 a.m. The initial call went out as a domestic disturbance but officers discovered much worse.  42-year-old, Anthony Rodriguez, had barricaded himself in a room armed with a knife. Anthony had taken several people as hostages, including Aurora Almanza and her 3-year-old son.  Multiple agencies were on the scene, including the Bureau County Sheriff's Office, Illinois State Police and  the Princeton Police Department.  Authorities attempted to negotiate but ultimately rushed the room when they heard screaming coming from inside.  Officials have reported that officers fired shots as they entered the room.  Anambra Man Heeds Governor Obiano's Aku Luo Uno Call, Builds Polytechnic In Oba

In response to Governor Willie Obiano's Aku Luo Uno Call, a private interest has instituted a private tertiary institution known as Grundtvig Polytechnic in Oba.


The maiden matriculation ceremony of the higher institution which was held in Oba was attended by the Deputy Governor of Anambra State, Dr. Nkem Okeke, the Rector Federal Polytechnic, Oko, Dr Francisca Nwafulugo, among others.


Speaking at the occasion, the Deputy Governor commended the initiative and expressed his belief in education as the key to success.


Dr. Okeke asked the students to take their studies seriously and know that they were admitted to study, improve their morals and character as a strong foundation to what they will later become in life.


Also speaking, the Rector, of the Polytechnic, Dr. Sam Nsolibe who noted that they were granted licence in 2019, described the journey which started many years ago as tedious, pointing out that with the successful matriculation, the school becomes the only polytechnic owned by a private interest in Anambra state.


He noted that the vision of the Polytechnic is to raise the standard of education, building character and competence into humanity.


On his part, the Chairman/Executive Director of Grundtvig Polytechnic, Dr. Kachi Ozumba who appreciated the government of Anambra State for creating the enabling environment through brilliant policy and philosophy of Aku luo uno, revealed that the school idea began over a decade ago, pledged that they will continue with the culture of excellence and support students towards the realisation of their dreams for attending the school.


In a goodwill message, the Rector of Federal Polytechnic, Oko, Dr. Nwafulugo described the matriculation as an important academic transition, stressing that education is a real factor for tomorrow's investment.


Speaking to the students, she noted that the Polytechnic is not a dumping ground for anyone, as such, they should strive to show commitment and hard work to meet the high expection of their wards.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
