  A 23-year-old Nigerian woman identified as Osarugbe, has died in Libya. African beauty products   She passed away at about 11:33am on Friday, April 4, 2025 after battling illness.    Anti-human trafficking advocate, Yakubu Oyiza and her team had been raising money to bring her back to Nigeria for better medical treatment as hospitals in Libya rejected her.    According to Oyiza, documents for burial, autopsy, and land to bury her in Libya have been arranged, all costing approximately 350,000.   She alleged that the family abandoned her since she fell sick and had earlier refused to go to Kano and pick her up the day she was supposed to be brought back to Nigeria.    In a Facebook post on Saturday, April 5, Oyiza revealed that some family members of the deceased called them asking for Osasā€™ properties. EFCC ARRAIGNS MAN WHO FORGED DOCUMENTS TO STAND SURETY FOR EX-AIR CHIEF,AMOSU.{PHOTO}.#PRESS RELEASE.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Tuesday, July 13, 2021, arraigned one Jamiu Jimmy Ajose on a three-count charge bordering on forgery, possession of forged documents and making false statements to an officer of the EFCC before Justice Chukwujekwu of the Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos.


Ajose, in his quest to stand surety for a former Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Adesola Amosun, who is standing trial over an alleged case of fraud perpetrated while he was in office, tendered forged documents to a Court Registrar and made false statements to an EFCC operative.


one of the counts reads: ā€œThat you, Jamiu Jimmy Ajose, sometime in 2021, in Lagos within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court, uttered to the Registrar of the Federal High Court, Lagos a forged document titled ā€œRecommendation for Bailā€, wherein you misrepresented yourself as one ā€œMr Augustine Buko Kappo of No 19, Toyin Davies Street, Ejigbo, Lagosā€, knowing same to be false with the intent that the Registrar of the Federal High Court may in the belief that is genuine be induced into allowing you stand as surety for the bail of Air Marshal Adesola Amosun Nunayon (Retd), the 1st defendant in charge No FHC/L/280C/2016 before the Federal High Court and you thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 1(2) (c) of the Miscellaneous offences Act, CAP M17, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004.ā€


Upon his arraignment, he pleaded not guilty to the charge preferred against him.


In view of his plea, the prosecution counsel, Chinenye Okezie, applied that the defendant be remanded in a Correctional Facility and also prayed for a date to commence trial.


When the defence counsel sought to make an oral application for bail on behalf of his client, he was denied by the Judge who insisted on a written application.


Justice Aneke adjourned the matter till September 29, 2021 for commencement of trial and also ordered the defendant to be remanded in Ikoyi Correctional Centre.
