 I Don’t Wish It On You – Genevieve Nnaji Knocks Trolls Age-shaming Her Veteran Nollywood actress Genevieve Nnaji has responded to social media trolls who made age-shaming comments about her. According to Naija News, a user on X reacted to Genevieve's post on April 3, 2025, stating that she couldn't escape aging and was getting older. The comment read, “You really cannot cheat nature. My fine wine is finally growing old.” In her reply, Genevieve pointed out that things could be worse; she could age significantly and eventually die if she were fortunate. She wrote, “It gets worse, bro. I’ll get so old I’ll die. If I’m lucky.” Another troll referred to her as “mummy,” suggesting she was old, but Genevieve quickly dismissed the comment, saying she wouldn’t wish old age on him. Alleged N266.5m Fraud: Court Refuses Bail Application of Fake Army General Who Claimed Buhari Nominated Him As COAS

Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo of the Special Offences Court sitting in Ikeja, Lagos, on Monday, April 25, 2022, dismissed the bail application filed by one Bolarinwa Abiodun, a fake Army General, who is being prosecuted on a 13-count charge bordering on obtaining money by false pretence, forgery of documents, and possession of documents containing false pretence to the tune of N266, 500,000. 

The Lagos Zonal Command of the EFCC, had, on April 11, 2022 arraigned the defendant on offences contrary to Section 1 (3) of the Advance Fee Fraud and Other Related Offences Act 2006; Section 363 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2015 and Section 6 of the Advance Fee Fraud and other Related Offences Act No 14 of 2006, respectively.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
