 Nigerian man takes up the challenge to be bur!ed alive for 24hours A Nigerian man who identifies as Young C has embarked on a challenge to be buried alive in a coffin for 24 hours.  He made this known in a series of posts on his Instagram page on Wednesday,  stating that the stunt was genuine and not a hoax.  He announced his intention to broadcast live footage from the coffin at night. Sharing a video on his Instagram account on Wednesday, he said, "I am going to be spending the next 24 hours buried in this casket. Guys, this is real, not fake.  "And the most amazing part is that I am going to go live by night." In a subsequent update, Young C revealed that he had been buried for over 8 hours and was experiencing physical discomfort, including excessive sweating. AIR POLLUTION COSTS SOCIETIES MORE THAN $5 TRILLION ANNUALLY -FG


The Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, Mrs Monilola Udo said that according to the World Bank, air pollution costs societies more than $5 Trillion Dollars annually.

Mrs Udo said this while declaring open the sensitization workshop on the Promotion of Internet of Things (IOT) for Technology Air Quality Monitoring in the Enviroment in Abuja.

According to Mrs. Monilola “the Internet of Things, refers to the Internet of computing devices embedded in everyday objects enabling them to send and receive data.”

She explained that the Internet of Things has a lot of climate related potentials such as monitoring air quality, water quality, pointing out that it is the engine that will drive Nigeria into the much anticipated smart city environment.

To this end, she enjoined the participants to take advantage of the workshop, and policies of the Ministry in Research and Innovation.

Earlier, the Director of Environmental Science Technology Department of the Ministry, Dr. Peter Ekwuozor, said that IOT is a great intervention for monitoring air quality both indoor and outdoor.

Dr. Ekwuozor further said that the IOT will help to develop effective policy means, control harmful emissions and consequently limit health burdens in the country.
